Stop Searching Prompts. Start Calling Them

Scrolling through endless documents to find the right prompt? That’s slowing your workflow. At Singularity, we’re testing a faster, cleaner method: uploading our entire prompt library into a Custom GPT—so we can call any prompt instantly by name.



Why We’re Doing This

Every time someone needs a client email, a compressor sizing prompt, or a LinkedIn caption, they either have to scroll, search, or retype. That adds up—fast. Instead, we’re chunking our entire prompt library using this format:


[PromptType] - [Task] - [Action]


Inside each chunk, we label:

  • PURPOSE

  • CONTEXT

  • PROMPT TEXT

  • VARIANTS


This structure lets us upload the doc once, and just reference any chunk by its header.


How It Works

  1. We created a chunked prompt doc and uploaded it to a Custom GPT at chat.openai.com/create.

  2. We added this instruction:

    “When the user enters a header like [CALC] - Heat Exchanger - Inputs, return the prompt text from that chunk.”

  3. We enabled File Search to make chunk retrieval possible.

Now, anyone on our team can just type the header and instantly get the prompt they need.


What’s the Catch?

  • You need the paid version of ChatGPT—this won’t work on the free tier.

  • Headers must be spelled exactly right—so we maintain a prompt index list.

  • And yes, the Custom GPT setup takes about 10 minutes—but it’s a one-time job.
