ChatGPT Agent Creates Slideshows

Can ChatGPT Agent really build your slides from scratch? I tested it here’s what I think.

Imagine getting a full presentation of slides, visuals, speaker notes just by typing a single prompt.

That’s exactly what I tested this week using ChatGPT’s new Agent feature.

The results? Big difference from the regular version.

I gave the same prompt to both versions of ChatGPT:

• Regular ChatGPT

• ChatGPT Agent (the new one that can act like a virtual assistant)

Prompt:

Hey! could you take a look through this video transcript below and study it. Turn it into a 5-6 slides beautiful presentation to explain the BASICS of using AI for oil and gas engineering workflows and using AI at an engineering company.

Notes about the presentation:

- The presentation needs to be FILLED will analogies to explain difficult concepts.

- The presentation needs to be simple enough for a high school student to understand.

- The presentation needs to be FILLED with simple practical examples or actions for EVERY letter and concept of the presentation.

I need a full written, detailed set of notes for every slide. The slides need to contain VERY LITTLE text. More on image, visual presentation. Less is more for these slides.

Regular ChatGPT: Basic But Fast

The regular version was quick. It gave me a basic outline and a text-only PowerPoint file.

❌ No visuals

❌ No speaker notes

❌ No designIf you’re building from scratch, you’ll still have to do most of the formatting yourself.

ChatGPT Agent

The Agent took a few more minutes… but the outcome was miles ahead. It searched the web, picked relevant images, wrote out speaker notes, and delivered an editable PowerPoint deck — all from the same prompt.

✔️ Designed slides with images

✔️ Notes for each slide

✔️ Download link ready. It genuinely felt like working with a junior designer who got the assignment.
